They teach you in the Police Academy that the first rule of police work is to come home alive at the end of your shift. As Police Officers we understand that the job we do is often dangerous and all too often deadly. Every day Police Officers are permanently injured and in some instances killed. We accept this risk with the knowledge that we choose to do the job we do, and the consequences that come with this decision. It’s not only what we do; it is who we are.
Unfortunately, our loved ones suffer these consequences along with us. They attend our funerals, sit at our bedside, and share our pain. It is only through the love and support of our families and brother / sister officers that we endure these difficult times. Sometimes the support of our family and friends is not enough. Sometimes the need is greater than expected.
Officer Down™ Inc. is a Not-For-Profit organization, registered with the State of New Jersey and the IRS. Officer Down provides monetary support for permanently disabled / deceased Officers and their families and consists of active, retired, and disabled Law Enforcement Officers from within New Jersey.
Since our founding, Officer Down, has provided more than $200,000 in monetary assistance to OVER FORTY deceased or permanently disabled Law Enforcement Officers throughout New Jersey.
All these Officers share one thing in common; they leave behind a family that misses them or how they were before their illness / injury. Just as we help our partners in need, we need also help their loved ones in this, their time of need. We cannot help them alone. We need your help. Your donations help pay for medical bills, help support the family they leave behind, and assist our disabled brother and sister officers so they too can continue their lives. No amount of money can bring a loved one back, or repair the permanent injuries, but it may help ease their burden.
In closing I ask you to lend that helping hand that these brave men and woman deserve and more importantly that their families deserve. Officer Down Corporate Sponsorship/ Donation Information
Officer Downs sole objective is to provide financial support to those in need who fit the criteria outlined in the Officer Down bylaws. These recipients and their families will receive a donation from Officer Down at the end of the calendar year. The donation amount will vary based on the number of recipients and the amount of money raised at Officer Down events throughout the year.
Corporate sponsors make it possible for Officer Down to function as a strong organization. Your donation will be used by Officer Down for up-front costs to make these events possible. Any unused money will be then donated to the recipients in need at the end of the year. Officer Down is a not-for-profit Organization registered with the Internal Revenue Service and New Jersey Department of Treasury, as such, all donations are tax deductible. (501C-3)
Sponsorship details:
Event Sponsor: $100 per event
With your advance donation, your company’s logo will be predominately displayed at the event, your logo will appear in any print advertising about the event, and when possible also displayed on any event specific tee shirts or other apparel. Additionally, you may distribute company information and set up a table at the event.*
Full Year Sponsor: $1000 based on calendar year (Jan – Dec)
Your donation will be treated in the same fashion as the $100 event sponsor, however your organization will have access to market and promote business at ALL of the Officer Down events. Additionally, your group will have first right to primary table or banner space at these events.
Gold Sponsor: $2500 based on calendar year
Similar to the full year sponsor you will have primary marketing space at all of the Officer Down events. As a Gold sponsor, you will be the only company within your industry marketed at Officer Down Events. For example if your firm is a bank, no other bank can be marketed at the Officer Down events. Also as a gold sponsor, your company will have a highly visible link from the Officer Down website (and will be listed as a gold sponsor).
Platinum Sponsor: $5000 three year honorary sponsor
Same details as the Gold Sponsor. As an Officer Down Platinum Sponsor, your donation will be applied to a three year term of gratitude. A plaque will be sent to your office as a token of gratitude. And your organization will be most dominantly displayed, marketed, and promoted at ALL Officer Down events.
*Note: At some events, print or table space will be limited based on event details and expected attendance. Officer Down understands the marketing value at these events and will do its absolute best in seeing that all of your needs are met.
